This part of the forum is dedicated to the public at large: students, journalists and the merely curious. Whether you have a specific question about Dark Matter or a more general concern, we are pleased to try to answer it as simply and accurately as possible.

There are, however, a number of points all should be aware of:

• The forum is moderated. If we deem your question inappropriate or too far off-topic, we reserve the right to move or delete it without prior notice. You are welcome to engage the moderator privately about the decision.

• We may and will point you to the relevant entries in our Community Wiki if they exist and fully or partially answer your question. Be sure to have checked it before you post to avoid unnecessary threads.

• We may not be able to answer a particular question right away, either because we are otherwise busy (!) or because it warrants further research. Do not spam the boards repeatedly with it as it will only decrease the chances of a positive outcome. However, should your thread fall too far down the listings, you are encouraged to bump it back up to give it another chance.
